This is a pretty open subreddit, and as such, there are very few rules as to what can and cannot be submitted. Not some whack double talk altar ego of someone else(I won't say who). This is the subreddit for discussion and appreciation of everything Myst, Riven, Exile, Revelation, End of Ages, Uru, and more! Rules Atrus narrates the opening of Myst "I realise when I fell into the fizzure" that is after your stint in Uru. Uru is to me a prologue to this nonsense. use an older PC for these, don't waist your big rig on Myst anything! takes you to the odd world or two so the question is only about Uru and Myst IV more than the order of the other games.Īvoid "Real" Myst Masterpiece it takes a heavy hunk of hardware, one I would rather be used in bigger games. Then on a whim of the nonsensical and IMO, quite flakey woman in the cave. Uru begins in Nevada(or some Earth place) I would assume. I do know that Myst one had a lot of "ages" in the same island so anything goes, as is Legacy of Kain. Not enough to know why the age drop in Myst IV of the subject matter to this game's objective I have only complete Myst (orignal) but have played enough through the others to know about this. However, the "little" girl from Myst IV is a young 30ish woman in Uru(Arus's daughter ?)īut then again time is relative in this crazy mixed up world. You should try to get the missing episodes as well. I enjoyed every single moment of all the games. Great combination of visuals, sound (atmosphere!!) and tough puzzles that'll give you a hard time. It is one of the greatest games of all time, I think. It's a pity, Revelations is not on GOG, yet. Generally, the Uru games are a bit different in style because of the full 3D and mostly different puzzle styles. You'll get the connection through Myst V and by reading the books. In fact, Myst I-IV and Uru with its Extensions (To D'Ni and Path of the Shell) at two loosly connected storylines. I also don't get why you would want to play URU before Revelations. * I would advise to play the Masterpiece Edition rather than realMyst, the latter being a full 3D remake that did not age as well as the "pre-rendered" original game.Įdit for clarification. URU (I haven't played it but I have read that it is not as good as the rest of the series) When you're stuck, all you need is another puzzlepiece and than all will become clear.Ĥ. ![]() Enjoy it the only way you can, through all the hardships the game will throw at ye. This game is briljant, in both it's puzzles and it's storytelling. I don't think I was far from that realization, but damn was that not my intention. For me just glancing at one line too many gave me an insight that put all the elements I had carefully written down into one perspective. Walkthroughs for this game are so compact you can't look for one thing and not get information on something else. I consulted a walkthrough ones, and not even because I needed an answer to a puzzle, but because, very uncharacteristic for this game, I ran into a point of no return situation and wanted to make sure I wasn't messing up my game. As tempting as it might be to look up a hint, if you're stuck, just save your game and come back to it another day. Mrwonderful: And above all else, do not - under any circumstances - consult a walkthrough or strategy guide. ![]()
